PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS Seattle/AP) One Oregon mother says that she is unable to afford health insurance for her and her 18-month-old son because its too expensive.
Kate Holly, 33, tells KOIN-TV that she originally championed President Barack Obamas signature health care law because she thought it would help people in her situation.
Ive been a cheerleader for the Affordable Care Act since I heard about it and I assumed that it was designed for people in my situation, Holly, a freelance yoga instructor, told KOIN. I was planning on using the Affordable Care Act and I had done the online calculator in advance to make sure I was going to be able to afford it.

BOO HOO Kate!
These types of stories really break my heart.
Just imagine thinking your healthcare will be free.
Then you realize you can’t afford it for your family.
It must feel like the end of the world for may people.
Then I think, “You voted for this crap, so enjoy it daily”.
Sure, you bet there will be...
Getting that conclusion out into the media and its idiots that watch there BS...
Well, thats another story...
Good point, we’ll never know, unless we see the raw notes taken at this interview...
Wanna place bets???
Ok, Mr. Spawn of Lazamataz!!! hehehe
exactly!!!
Translation: "I loved it because I thought it would give me a bunch of free sh#t I deserve because I want it,"
This Liberal deserves what she is getting but the rest of us don't. May she choke on her tofu veggie sticks.
I am sorry but I have no sympathy for this woman she is a stupid B**** this is the nicest thing I can say about her.
now why would a ‘freelance yoga instructor’ need health insurance, don’t the yoga demons keep their priestess healthy?
I call it the “unaffordable don’t care act.”
I fear that you are right, Blue.
No need for me to assess how “thick” I am as regards intelligence. Thick, and I know it. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how they think. Is there a realistic answer as to what logically, by their thinking, was going to be the end result other than what it is? Surely, after about age 15 or so, people figure out that nothing is free.(?)
Just curious to know how they did their math to come up with any other possible answer other than having to pay.
Lord won't you buy me a color TV
Dialing for Dollars is trying to find me...
The liberal gimmies celebrate Janis, but Janis had her eyes wide open on economics, as conservative as they come.
I think *Elvis* sang a song about these (Yugo) folks ;-)
Boo hoo, mama. We tried to tell you, you wouldn’t listen. Now live with what you helped foster.
Affordable Care Act
Affordable for whom?
Better yet...
“ObamaDon’tCareAct”
This is classic socialism: the naive do-gooders believe the “good intentions” of socialism and big government only to find out later that they’ve been duped by the false promises of socialism and power-hungry demagogues.
The path to Hell is paved with “good intentions.”
She will never believe that she contributed to the problem. She is not required to adjust to reality but can live in never-never land in liberal OR.
But people in other parts of OR are too disorganized to outvote the three urban areas.
She is legion, a little mean to single her out; her fellow liberals are the culprits too.
