Israel is not a sovereign state in the sense that France, for example, is a sovereign state
It would be beyond belief for America’s Secretary of State to visit France and demand that the French president sit down with the chancellor of Germany to negotiate which parts of France he will agree to give up to Germany. Of course, the French president would never agree to such negotiations. If Germany threatened war in consequence, France would retaliate.
If Israel were like France it also would not agree to discuss giving up any of its territory, and would be prepared to defend itself if attacked. But instead the Israelis are ALWAYS ready to talk about giving up parts of their land.
Until a prime minister of Israel arises who has the courage to declare to our Secretary of State that Israel will no longer participate in the farcical land-for-peace process and that it will defend itself if attacked, Israel will not be a sovereign state but will remain an international problem child attached to America’s apron strings.
Unfortunately, Benjamin Netanyahu does not seem to be the prime minister who whose courage will give Israel the sovereignty it needs.
I would love to hear Netanyahu tell John Kerry to GTF out of his country and stay out.
But we are. We are a teeny tiny sovereign state that has a gigantic, humongo superpower state as our “best buddy”. The “best buddy” is trying to get us to eat a bug and kiss our own ass in public. Therefore, we need to get away from him.
