In college I would walk quite a distance to a grocery store in Grays Ferry, I scrapped up enough money to by large bags of beans and rice (after Passover I would also purchase the reduced matzo)...

Two "gentlemen" one in front and one behind me in line started discussing their recent purchases... The latest expensive Nike, yaddayaddayadda, the guy in front had a cart full of stuff; he was having a party, lots of steaks nice provisions...
