A Cedar Hill homeowner fatally shot a suspected would-be burglar overnight, authorities say.
Joshua Slaven, 31, was pronounced dead at 11:59 p.m. on Christmas Eve, according to the Dallas County medical examiner.
Authorities say the shooting occurred on Stoney Creek Drive about midnight when a man attempted to break in through a window.

I have been told that the Mayor of Cedar Hill said that he did not blame the homeowner. I think Cedar Hill is a bit "upscale".

Yeah! Last Tuesday Night we had this Obese Jolly Prowler Break into our Home, Eat the Cookies I had laid out for myself and left a ton of stuff we didn't need strung out on our living room floor!
And to top it off, we had deer poo out on the front porch!
What a night!

Nah...Cedar Hill isn’t upscale. There are areas around the lake a state park that are pretty ritzy...but the rest is just working folks.

Downtown Cedar Hill is a historic site. It was originally settled in the mid 1800s. There are still some buildings from the turn of the century there.

Been there...seen it. :) Not really a tourist attraction, though. Heck, my Tiny Town boasts the same creds.
Cedar Hill’s primary draw is Joe Poole Lake.
