I read the article and it could have come out of a “Young Entrepreneur “ magazine (I made that up ... if a YE mag exists, I apologize)
There are certain elements that are common across the board - and in many different areas of endeavors. Just because there are common elements doesn’t mean they are common or alike in other ways.
The mafia may have had families, their kids went to school, they lived in houses, they drove cars, they sat down at the dinner table and ate - but that doesn’t make them like the average American family.
It is an interesting aspect to that organization and one you wouldn’t normally or initially associate with them. What it does show to me is that al Qaeda is very intent on maintaining control over their organization and carrying out carefully crafted plans.
