My totallly anecdotal guess would say “yes” (in most cases), but just because same-sex attraction disorder may be a defect in brain “wiring”, amongst other things, doesn’t mean it’s normal, anymore than anyone with cystic fibrosis or color blindness is normal.

Your analysis is right on target. It is a psychological aberration most likely triggered in early childhood, and usually due to sexual abuse. For this reason, it truly is no different than any other disordered attractions.

Agreed. It is a brain function. Or misfunction. They are children of Gd like anyone else with a disability.
