-It appears the sheriff believes his deputies deserve a wide latitude of understanding as they swear at, and threaten innocent homeowners with being shot. And then they blame the homeowner for the situation. Perhaps public servants should try putting themselves in the innocent homeowners position, instead. -Just a thought.
Every knee shall bow ... to the Almighty Government.

The most important part of the story has been left out.
Did the cops go home safe and sound that evening?
Nothing else matters.
Nothing.
“”Put yourself in the deputies position, said Sheriff Knezovich. “
No, I want the officers to start putting themselves in the shoes of their victims. Reminds me of a FED going door to door at an appartment complex waving a gun. Scared the hell out of an older lady, who did not know it was cops.
Then the pig, who had just pointed a gun at here through her kitchen window said “I did not appreciate having a gun pointed at me.”
All cops see is themselves and their interests.

A Beer Summit as a way to atone?
Nothing?
You wouldn’t say that if a dog escaped alive.
Good thing the kid didn’t have a dog. It might have done something really scary like barking which would have forced them to shoot it.
Uh....the cops are lucky the homeowner didn’t (expletive) shoot them!
Did the 911 call say look for tire tracks, or was an address provided?
Obama's now and future army!!
He’s “lucky” he didn’t have a dog. Because, as it is, (according to the sheriff’s deputies); he’s “lucky” they didn’t shoot him.
Anyone creeping around my house is going to get blinded by a 800+ lumen flashlight, and there will be a firearm behind it. They had better comply with *my* orders on *my* property. I don’t care if they claim they are with the Sheriff’s dept. Until they prove it (via law abiding behavior and showing credentials), they are a potentially hostile intruder.
yeah, blame the poor guy who is in his own home minding his business...
Ever seen a better capsule description of the Obama Administration's governing philosophy?
“You’re lucky I didn’t [expletive] shoot you,”
For opening his door and recoiling in surprise when there was a pistol there to greet him?
Yes, it appears they were able to get home safely. But they’re very upset with the homeowner, for not being more thankful for how lucky he is that they didn’t shoot him.
The guy should realize that he has suddenly developed terrible headaches, insomnia, loss of appetite, cold sweats and every other conceivable symptom of PTSD, which have cost him his job, his girlfriend, perhaps his house—’cause the payment is overdue—and by and large his way of life.
I’d go in asking for five mill and watch the city’s attorneys scramble to negotiate. A civil jury is going to want to make those dumb bastards pay.
