If You Think Being Ruled by Obama Is Bad, Try Being Ruled by the Chinese
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | December 28, 2013 | Hamilton

Camille Paglia, the liberal-conservative lesbian who adores men, observed recently that nations must never neglect their basic strengths and survival skills. As she put it, “The earth is littered with the ruins of empires that believed they were eternal.” Perhaps she was thinking of the United States; this is, after all, a time when the gap between our towering international presumption is being undermined by our crumbling domestic reality.

The same Paglia-esque thoughts of political mortality came into Hamilton’s mind when he read the news about the near collision, on December 5, of a US Navy ship and a Chinese Navy ship.

Hamilton is reminded that plenty of American conflicts--including the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, World War One, World War Two, and Vietnam--started with naval incidents.

So suppose we did end up in a war with China--maybe not today, but in five or 10 years. Who would win? Let’s remember, this hypothetical war wouldn’t necessarily be anything like what we have seen before; it could be waged with little more than cyber-hacking, satellite-blinding,and a few long-range missiles--which could be enough to establish military dominance.

In the meantime, we can see plenty of signs that our ability to prevail is ebbing. In 2010, for example, the website ZDNet reported that 80 percent of the world’s communications have a Chinese “back door”--and that China is working on accessing the remaining 20 percent. In other words, America could pass a law preventing the US National Security Agency from snooping on us, but we would still not be able to stop the Chinese from snooping on us.

The conservative pundit David Goldman, also known as “Spengler,” argued recently that the most under-covered story of 2013 was China’s strategic rise:

China just made the first soft landing on the moon in four decades....

I would tend to agree with this.

As China gets ever stronger, America will in turn get ever weaker.

We are rapidly approaching a point of discomfort in this relationship.

Far too many, are buying things from China.

I’ve heard that Scripture does speak of an eagle and it’s supposedly a metaphor for the U.S., but I don’t know.

I have also heard of "young lions" too, meaning Great Britain, and the offspring (US, and others) but again, I don't know either.

I had an interesting conversation with an elderly couple last week. Their grandson after meeting a girl on the net, traveled to China and married her. This girl was the second child born to her parents. A second child is strictly forbidden by the godless Communistic Chineese Gov’t. The punishment is not death YET. The punishment extent is a hefty Fine! Not only that, it is NOT A ONE TIME PENALTY! The daughter is now 20 years old but her parents continue to be forced to pay a FINE EVERY MONTH for having her! The grandparents say their grandson made a good choice SU LING is an excellent granddaughter sweet and extremely helpful around the house. She misses Chinese dishes however . So the couple went to an Asian market here and ended up buying $600 worth of Chinese food. Then she spent hours cooking the family a giant Chinese dinner. She became so exhausted after the meal was prepared she had to go to bed and rest.

What’s important is universal gay marriage and the end of don’t ask-don’t tell in our military.

To add even more insult to the military, the Enlisted Performance Report (EPR) is being changed to include unit climate - everyone is now expected to have some concrete part of improving/fostering the climate tolerance to anti-Christian/pro-deviant activities/beliefs if I guess right - haven't seen the new form or instructions yet).

Define "win."

What would the US consider a win? What would the Chinese leadership consider victory?

The only good thing to come out of a Anglo-Sino war is gloBULLism and Free Trade would be dead for a long time. Off shoring our industrial base to China and the turd world was a stupid idea anyway. Totally unsustainable...
