That will not survive the test. There are thousands that have gained victory over this sin (and it isn't easy), just as there are with homosexuality. That alone refutes the study. You can't have it both ways.
I would just say in response that in the case of homosexual behavior a real introduction to God and sincere repentence can indeed erase that sin from one’s soul.
Unfortunately for the despoilers of children there is only the millstone. Pedophiles are in a class by themselves.
