I’m sure the writer believes an eloquent debater from the gay community would tear apart this “bible thumping hayseed Christian”, which is about as serious a miscalculation as the one A&E made in the first place when they thought that suspending Robertson would be accepted with open arms. Although showing a 26 hour marathon on Xmas day with Phil Robertson appearing in every episode and going ahead with their plans to air the next season of Duck Dynasty as planned, once again showing Phil in every single episode, is a funny way to show it. It reminds me of the modern parental approach to disciplining their children using “time outs”, instead of the tradional spanking used on children in every generation since Adam and Eve, but once again what did they know?
