Does A&E have a spelunking reality show because they’re gonna need one to keep track of ALL THE CAVES.
A week after the patriarch of A&E’s ratings juggernaut “Duck Dynasty” family was indefinitely suspended by the network for comments he made about homosexuality in a magazine interview, Robertson is back. Now, the national firestorm that erupted over A&E’s hasty disciplining of the reality star will no doubt erupt again, this time for its hasty reinstatement of him. Because how could the screaming elements of the Left possibly allow a person with views different from their own to be on TV and respond by simply not watching or writing a scathing HuffPost comment about how icky they think he is. No, that would never do.

That is why we reacted so quickly and strongly to a recent interview with Phil Robertson. While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the “coarse language” he used and the mis-interpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article. He also made it clear he would “never incite or encourage hate.” We at A+E Networks expressed our disappointment with his statements in the article, and reiterate that they are not views we hold.
But Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family… a family that America has come to love. As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness. These are three values that we at A+E Networks also feel strongly about.
So after discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family.
We will also use this moment to launch a national public service campaign (PSA) promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people, a message that supports our core values as a company, and the values found in Duck Dynasty. These PSAs will air across our entire portfolio.
So, we’ve got some public lauding of the Robertson family, even noting they “come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance, and forgiveness,” which is bound to rankle the very people who rejoiced in Phil’s suspension because it uses the approved language of the left to applaud a Christian family. One assumes the Robertson family, already millionaires outside of TV, at least threatened to walk during this debacle. “Duck Dynasty’s” millions upon millions of viewers certainly did. Hence, a Christmas week news dump reinstatement of Phil.
A&E will be producing fluffly PSAs to assure everyone they believe in tolerance or something. Which, if they did, they could have illustrated it by saying, “Hey, yes, we disagree with Phil’s beliefs but don’t think it rises to a fireable offense that he’s talking about them in public. The Robertsons are actually a pretty cool and caring family, as the millions who watch every week know.” But tolerance in the public parlance doesn’t actually mean the tolerance of people with differing views and lifestyles. “Tolerance” is a system of enforced celebration, and nothing short of celebration will be tolerated. I wonder if these PSAs come with a complementary sizeable donation to GLAAD? A “multimillion dollar protection racket’s” gotta rake it in somehow.
GLAAD is in the indulgence selling biz, and I'm guessing it cashed in quite handsomely on its Duck Dynasty tantrum. #MissionAccomplished

Phil Robertson would make a great spokesman warning the public about Gay Bowel Syndrome for A&E. A win-win solution.

What we need more of is the spread of God’s word on the matter!
Although other parts of Scripture have been quoted on this Duck Dynasty issue with A&E, the following in Romans, chapter 1, is a key part and understanding ... as to how God’s wrath plays into this ... and why this is unique and that it is actually a judgement.
In Romans 1 ... it says
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

THAT would certainly be “dynamite” to LGBT-types ... :-) ...

Also, in reference to what someone else said about homosexuality being another sin - just like all the sins listed in the Bible ... I’ll have to point out that it’s QUITE UNIQUE in comparison to other sins. I said the following in another posting elsewhere ... AND ... this shows how God’s wrath plays into it.
The unique thing about what God said in Romans 1 — is that this particular sin is actually a “judgement” from God in that He has them debasing themselves in such a way. THIS (what the LGBTs promote) is actually God’s judgement upon them in that they are to do these things to themselves. They, therefore, receive god’s judgement in the “here and now” for clearly rejecting what god has made clear to the,.
SO ... while these are all sins - fornication, adultery, thieving, drunkenness, slandering, swindling - and will not be allowed into Heaven ... none of these are, in and of themselves - a condition which God imposes upon people for their rejection of what God has made clear to them,
On the other hand — the LGBT lifestyle is a specific condition and judgement of God Himself - upon these people,
AND THEREFORE, God has put upon them the absolute worst of the worst sin possible in a human being - in order to thoroughly DEBASE them to the ultimate extent in THIS LIFE, in the HERE AND NOW and not upon “Judgement Day”.
LGBT-people are a “walking advertisement” of God thoroughly debasing someone to the maximum extent possible, in a human being. They are walking around with a “neon flashing sign” — saying — “Look at me! God has not even waited until Judgement Day to judge me!”
I assume GLAAD will be paid to produce the PSAs, or to have them produced by their ‘friends’.
So, Duck Dynasty viewers- more accurately their advertisers- will now be contributing probably $10 million to GLAAD.

Let them mush around and lick their wounds in public if they must. Prolonging the spectacle only prolongs the scrutiny. This won’t go quietly into that good night.
It’s too late, the die is cast. I am cutting my cable provider loose by the end of the year, letting them know that the A&E debacle was the straw that broke this camels back. Seems a lot more are doing the same. Just rolling over now and playing nice isn’t going to change things. It’s time to double-down, not got back to BAU and pretend that nothing happened.

Atrocious theology does not get anyone anywhere except to God’s Rebuke City. How about actually READING Romans 1:20ff. The slide doesn’t stop with the homo frolics. It goes on to things that might be seen in “you and me.” And indeed notice that our modern flamers are worse in overall attitude than the homos of yesteryear.
I bend the knee only to truth. The folks who are the most bent on bending theology to make bad look even worse are generally the hypocrites... who have a problem that they want to mask behind someone else’s.

GLAAD is sad, sad, sad. And will be the sadder the more they get their way.
SOME folks still remember a God of intensely involved grace, not aloofness. Sincere acceptance of salvation is always honored. Don’t ask me how God ties all that together but it ain’t by the one who “wills, or even runs.”
