These are difficult times. And we all want to do something to fix the problems that we face. But remember that in the story, the tortoise wins the race. You should want to be here to finish the race.

While its not a popular opinion to hold at FR, I’m slowly coming to the conclusion that electoral politics is less important than deciding whether I grow carrots or beets in my garden this year. My garden will feed me and my family. When did a politician ever do that?

Can’t disagree...I split hairs between types of tomatoes and peppers, too. Not tackled carrots yet. Yes, I know this was metaphorical and rhetorical...but I agree.
