I don’t think they’re stamping out radical Islam; after all, their new constitution is Islamic, and they’ve said nothing yet about the Salafis. They’re getting rid of their rivals, though.
True but SISI’s agenda is to have an Islam that would reflect a “modern” Egypt.....many of his actions are to curb terrorism and the violent element of Islam. And why he’s put the Mosques under the Governments Ministry of Religious Endowments to train and even put the Imams through tests in order to be certified to teach and preach.
