The neck part was in a facetious vein.

So, if a cop physically hurts me while detaining me or “interacting” with me, I am justified in snapping his wrist/arm/neck, etc. to stop his attack?

Good to know.

My reply was because I didn't understand your point about justification until I read it over again a couple of times.

The police say their action was justified because she hurt the officer by digging her nails into his hand and wrist, not taking into account the speed that she was slammed to the pavement which easily could have snapped her wrist, arm or even her neck.

I looked at the enlarged video again at that point, and she goes from standing up to face down in a half second. That's what broke her nose. I'm surprised that she was not injured more seriously.

As for the cops, they could wear gloves while making an arrest, since someone who has been drinking is pretty likely to resist. It says he wasn't sure if the pain he felt was her nails so he acted to stop her. . .what did he think it was, that she pulled a switchblade on him while he had hold of her wrists trying to cuff her?
