I’m inclined to cut Prince a little bit of slack on this one. Can you imagine the hubbub if he ignored the fake holiday? The outrage if he were to point out it’s a fake holiday? The press would be drumming for his head on a pike if he so much as mentioned when the holiday was created (the ‘60’s). Nobody would notice! Everybody ignores this fake holiday.
