I live in Canada and my kids learned about it here in school. It’s also a part of the winter holiday unit in the scout troop. The “funny” part is my husband is South African and he gets asked if he celebrated Kwanzaa. He’s a lot more patient with people but I just want to smack them when they ask that.
I spent many years on the African continent, in nearly every country from Cairo to the Cape, among countless tribal groups, languages, and cultures spread between the bush and city centers. Never once heard about “Kwanzaa.”
The correct answer is, “No, we are CHRISTIANS and not pagans”.
