This Christmas, Remember Pastor Saeed. Remember the Persecuted Church
This is the second Christmas that Pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. citizen, will spend in an Iranian prison.
His only crime? His Christian faith.
Inexcusably, he remains in prison even after the Obama administration made a deal with his captors. According to this deal, Iran keeps enriching uranium, Iran keeps its centrifuges (key equipment for building nuclear weapons), Iran gets billions in sanctions relief, and Iran gets humanitarian transactions from the United States.

Pastor Saaed’s wife:
“I had anticipated that I would battle the Iranian government for my husbands freedom. I never anticipated that I would also have to battle my own government and that the journey would become even much more difficult than it had been. My husband is suffering because hes a Christian. Hes suffering because hes an American. Yet his own government did not fight for him when his captors were across the table from them.”
Thank you for keeping this man and his needs on our hearts. May God open the doors that only He can open for the Pastor’s safe return, and may Christians continue to pray for all those who are being persecuted for His Name’s sake.
May God be with him today and all days to follow. I pray for him to receive the peace from above.
My prayer is that our Lord continues to do His Will in Pastor Saeed’s life. I ask this, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
I have been involved with the #freesaeed #Savesaeed movement on Facebook since before Thanksgiving. This whole thing is disheartening.
I wrote an article about Saeed Abedini, Empathy and the Incarnation: An Exhortation

I wrote this on Christmas in an attempt to exhort Christians to care about his fate.
I wrote another article yesterday about how he doesn’t need to spend another Christmas in prison.

If you want to lend a hand in helping Saeed Abedini, here is the FB page with a lot of info on their about page. Lot of action links to tweet Congressmen and FB them.

This man is always in my prayers. May he be released soon!
