Senior Israeli leaders have reportedly demanded an end to the alleged mass surveillance programmes carried out by the US' National Security Agency after it was revealed that emails of the country's former leaders were allegedly intercepted.
Israeli Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz said that the alleged interception of emails wasn't legitimate, and called for both countries to enter an agreement regarding espionage.

Why would anyone in his cabinet trust him? Or in his employ at all?
Bibi doesn't trust the guy. He is smart.

How silly. We spy on them; they spy on us. This has been ongoing for decades. No deal.
Anyone we’re committed to defend and who we give billions to had just better get used to the idea that we’ll be listening.
This has to be one of the stupider requests of late. Nobody in their right mind is going to believe that intelligence agents will voluntarily stop their voyeurism. Likely if asked, they will redouble it.
It sounds much like some Hollywood starlet, who dresses like a harlot, goes to a red carpet event to show off her dress, or lack thereof; then bitterly complains about how the Paparazzi won’t stop taking her picture.
US looks worse and worse for keeping Jonathan Pollard in prison - now in his 29th year and in poor health.
He plead guilty for a crime “passing classified intelligence to an ally” that typically results in 2 to 4 years of jail time.
Meanwhile it’s obvious US has done a lot more spying on Israel than the reverse.
Why doesn’t Israel throw some of the US spies in jail so they can have leverage to finally get Pollard out?
Because they like the money we keep sending them.
” Because they like the money we keep sending them.”
I do agree with that....while the political elites tell us we don’t have enough money to run our own nation and take care of our infrastructure.
If it was left up to me there would be no, zero, nada country receiving even one dime of our US taxpayer aid, unless we were clearly out of debt. The fact that our tax money is going to Israel and to others, should give taxpayers the absolute right to either complain or accept it. I complain about it because they are an affluent successful nation and they could be paying us.
Let the good times roll. Let everyone spy on everyone and boast about it in bars.
They should let him rot and die in prison. He is a traitor.
With all the hypocritical bellyaching over hero Jonathan Pollard, the U.S. should release him for the crap they are doing to a country they never really regarded as an ally. Also, the U.S. under the affirmative action Hitler Obama is spying on Israel to give diplomatic immunity to Iran’s nuclear weapons. Another reason for the U.S. to stop its spying or having Israel take steps to stop the spying.
No kidding.
We have been spying on each other since day one. . .we spy on them, they spy on us. . .we even spy on our closest allies.
No big deal.
All this hype is for domestic political reasons.
Ohhhh. . .the Big Bad US is spying on us! How terrible!!
Shocked, I am, I tell ya, shocked that spying is going on all around the world.
How about when they illegally monitor, spy on and conduct constant surveillance on their own law abiding citizens?
Is that no big deal too?
The silence here is deafening....

Is it not the same U.S. Government agencies who are illegally spying on law abiding U.S. citizens?
Is it OK for the U.S. government to spy on, hack and monitor law abiding U.S. citizens?
They told odumbi, don’t forget what we did to the USS Liberty!
