Yes, you can but should you. A company rushing to judgment in protecting customers from being offended must be able to regain your confidence when they correct their mistake. If they cant do that then what is the point in making the correction.
I have little respect for a company that bows to the slightest pressure from the politically correct. I do not support the doctrine of political correctness. However, when that company retracts the position it took with no pulled punches in its apology I cant help but forgive. Trust but verify may satisfy you.
