That’s what happens when the silent majority is silent no more. We can drown out the vocal extremist fascist minority if enough people decide to oppose totalitarianism.

Dear Cracker Barrel Customer:

When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we
offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but
that’s just what we’ve done.

You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren’t shy about it. You wrote, you
called and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings.
You flat out told us we were wrong.

We listened.

Today, we are putting all our Duck Dynasty products back in our stores.

And, we apologize for offending you.

We respect all individuals right to express their beliefs. We certainly did not
mean to have anyone think different.

We sincerely hope you will continue to be part of our Cracker Barrel family.

Too late . . . they’re off my list of places to go. Whoever made this decision should be fired publicly, and a big apology should be announced nationwide.

I’ll gladly go somewhere else from now on. Tah Tah, CB!

Phil Robertson kicks butt! A true American!

That’s a relief. I couldn’t believe they did such a bone-headed thing in the first place, even though they got nearly run out of business by the Gaystopo in the past. I was concerned — where was I going to be able to browse and buy my iron cookware, old-fashioned candy and Gaither Vocal Band CDs? All better now.

Impressive. The not-so-silent majority speaks and is heard loud and clear.

next up ... force A&E to apologize for placing Phil on leave and reinstate him to the show. These networks and businesses are playing a dangerous game by supporting one faction vs another. Their safest move is to stay out of politics and welcome all

Bet they had plenty of time to rearrange those shelves since they weren’t that busy....and right before Christmas, to boot. The genius who thought hopping in bed with GLAAD was a good idea should be fired.

I will go back. At least they rejected liberal Obamahole logic.

CW II is coming...and the forces are finally becoming aligned.

I dunno. Something doesn’t smell right. What about the Duck Commander merchandise? Their stance yesterday was they’re going to continue to sell Duck Dynasty stuff, just not anything with Phil Robertson’s likeness on it. While this statement suggests a new attitude, a no-Phil policy could still be in effect.

I’m reserving opinion until I read something from someone who’s been in the store and has seen the specific items they pulled yesterday.

Cracker Barrel can take their bland food, their cheesy tourist-trap gift shops full of useless things, their overpriced rocking chairs out on that "fake country-house front porch" and shove it up their collective behinds.

Despite my general feelings about this ticky-tacky restaurant chain with it's faux "down-home" phoney-baloney prohibition-Era Farmer's Almanac's shtick, I might pop in there from to time on a long road trip in the Deep South when the only other off-the-interstate alternatives is Shoney's, Denny's and Waffle House (is there any place at all in the Deep South where you can get a beer and a shot with your steak?) but no more.

No more Cracker Barrel for me. Not after this stupid attempt to placate the Brokeback Mountain crowd by pulling Duck Dynasty merchandise. Not that I'm a huge fan of Duck Dynasty. Not that I don't think Duck Dynasty is out-done only by maybe Hee-Haw and Beverly Hillbillies in their condescending portrayal of Southern folk as backwards but lovable rubes.

They read the Tweets and were stunned by the number of people showing up, asking if they were supporting the fascists at GLAAD or Duck Dynasty and, when the managers said they had pulled the Duck Dynasty items from their stores, those potential customers said they were leaving and left.

If people hadn’t started fighting back, it wouldn’t be long before they started going after churches. Keep up the good fight before the sodomites drag us all down. I really thought that we, as a civilized society, were circling the bowl. Not anymore, maybe this is our first step back up.
