If a young Marine complains to him that his SGT is making gay passes at him, what does the young officer do?
This is just sick....sick....sick.....
Are there no blankets? Cannot bars of soap still go into the toe of a sock? Should not orders that directly attack Core Values be resisted?
ISTM that an officer needs to do the work that is closest to him. Maximizing cohesion and morale to assure that his unit is mission ready IS doing his duty. That is along the lines of what I shall counsel.
Such might well cost him dearly, but he will retain his integrity.
What happens if the young Marine is female and the SGT making passes is male? That must have come up at some point.
