Trinidad is a beautiful town, but it, sadly, has moonbat Democrat politics.

Trinidad is a cesspool and has been since it began as a coal mining town. It harboured such unlovely scum as Frank James,The Marloe gang, , the Daltons, Doc Holliday and many more of the old west banditti. The miners from Europe were kept in squalor and near slavery until well into the 20th century. Now, Trinidad is infested with street gangs. But one thing is for sure, the Democrats own it.

The Democrats have owned Trinidad since at least 1914. That was the year of the Ludlow Massacre.
Republican Governor Elias M. Ammons sent the Colorado national Guard to the little town of Ludlow to help quell a strike a the CF&I mines (owned by John D. Rockefeller). The troops fired on the mostly unarmed striking miners, killing at least 20. Since then, that whole area has been pretty much Democrat. Look it up on Wikipedia, it was pretty gruesome

What has happened to my beautiful Trinidad that we went to for Rodeos back in 1951! It is not the same place at all since my dad lived at Branson, later moving to Gladstone, NM.

It is a beautiful town, but as much as it is, and I hate to say this, you are right. It is a cesspool of violent gangs, primarily Hispanic gangs these days. The wife was a mental health consultant to a facility there and I used to fly in for dinner. I always carried and stayed to main street.
