This is a bunch of Brabra Streisand. NYC has the toughest gun laws in the nation, the cops are tough and they’ve got a Commie mayor who doesn’t allow citizens to own weaponry.

Just imagine how much worse things could have been if NYC didn't have such strict gun laws.
You know that there were many, many criminals that wanted to shoot someone and thought, "I better not. That would be breaking the gun laws of NYC. What was I thinking." < /sarcasm-thick-as-molasses >
