Bradley Strode said the students want to effect change within the wider Catholic Church, with an ultimate goal of altering the Catholic Church's stance on gay marriage.

Look how well all their parents and grandparents did with altering the Church's stance on birth control and abortion... not.

My neighbor told me a great story of what happened in his son’s Catholic school:

It was “back to school night” and the teacher mentioned that she was asked what she would teach about homosexuality by a parent who was concerned because her child’s aunt was “gay” and they did not want the child to see the aunt in a negative light.

The teacher said she is required to uphold the official Church stance but would do her best to minimize it. My neighbor raised his hand and asked “ My son’s uncle is a convicted drug dealer and I see posters all over the walls of this class about not doing drugs...will you be minimizing this as well?

The parents laughed out loud and the teacher had no idea what to say. Point made.
