Ryan really damaged his stock in 2013. He decided to do the bidding for Boehner and company rather than pushing them for a better strategy. I think Ryan is all around a good ally, but now seriously hurting himself and the country with is capitulation. He’s made a number of suspect votes overtime on big issues like TARP, but I can understand the urgency of those situations, especially when his own party is in the White House and the Fed Chair and Sec of Treasury provide the options they did. That said, it’s all adding up to a big problem right now, and my trust is eroded significantly.

How does lying make Ryan a “good guy”? A lie of omission is still a lie. He knew that was in there and said nothing. We have to take his word as to whether is was a “mistake” or not. I think, considering his track record, probably not.

You don’t pass something you know is a mistake with the intention of fixing it later. I’ve never heard such a bunch of hogwash and incompetence. Shame on him.
