Its not even 2014 and Mississippi conservative Senate candidate, Chris McDaniel, is already tied with incumbent Senator Thad Cochran in the polls. According to a new Human Events/Gravis poll, Cochran and McDaniel are all tied up at 40% apiece. It is pretty unprecedented for a challenger to be polling this well against a 35-year incumbent so early in the race.
The poll also showed that only 39% of Republicans definitively approved of Cochran. This poll is in line with previous surveys that show Chris to be very competitive. This is why we were so proud to endorse him early on in this race. Chris is truly an impressive candidate, and with voters itching for a more effective conservative voice in the Senate, he has a solid chance to become a U.S. Senator next year.

Support Chris McDaniel to oust Thad Cochran in MS
The Rino Cochran made a mistake when he decided not to retire.
Mississippians got fed up with Lott. And they are fed up with Cochran too.
Cochran will get his ass beat.
A mistake from Cochran’s view—and probably of the GOPe. If the seat was open, I imagine that there would be a half-dozen people fighting for the nomination, and who knows who would end up with a plurality. With Cochran in, a second serious conservative would guarantee that Cochran would win re-nomination, so the situation as it stands is very good.
The only scary thing about this is: When these long-time, entrenched politicians see that they are in political trouble this early, they start pulling out all the stops to woo the Uninformed Voters; and they have a lot of time to accomplish it.

We can all celebrate after he kills the RINO, but he will still have to defeat a Democrat challenger.
The opera ain’t over till Rosie o’donnell sings....
However, another poll (Harper) just released showed Cochran with a 54-31% lead over McDaniel.
Actually, Cochran has been in Congress continuously since his election in 1972.
