Exactly...live by the corporate dollar, die by the corporate dollar. I no longer shed any tears for the BSA. They made their bed, they can sleep in it.

When the BSA got in bed with organizations and companies promoting and pushing the diversity and inclusion nonsense, what, exactly did they think (did they think?) was going to happen?

Not only that, but the BSA has been complicit in perpetrating the diversity and inclusion nonsense through their Wood Badge training program...it is a mandatory component in order to fully “graduate” and get one’s beads.

In reality though, in my waning months with the BSA, I have come to see that the organization is a shell of its former self. There are no leaders at the National, Regional or Council level. Just a bunch of lying sycophants intent on maximizing their pay.

My resignation from the BSA is effective 1 Aug, 2014. Only because I’m part of Philmont crew and we were committed before the decision was made.

I was a Boy Scout many decades ago, but am not involved now - so you clearly have much more experience than I do. Nonetheless, I follow this case very closely, because modern political correctness effects all faith-based organizations, and the funding issue is critically important with all non-profits as well

It seems that the Boy Scouts national council in the 1990's became very fat and happy. They had a huge organization and funding provided by eager corporations - that offered the opportunity for many high paying jobs, great pensions, and expensive camps, like "The Summit." With this, the funding became greater than the mission. When times changes (as they always do) they found they had to sacrifice their basic beliefs on the alter of mammon and political correctness.
