Hasn’t gotten out of the KGB mindset, I see. Mr. Putin, you can spy on people . . . you just can’t give them the polonium-treatment.

When a “former” communist strongman who was a career KGB officer says you’re more of a dictator than he is, what does that tell us? WAKE UP, SHEEPLES!!

This says more about us than Obama.

Putin is shocked that Americans, the great liberators, would have allowed it.

Putin is right on. I agree.

That Putin would say such a thing and have grounds to be completely sincere is both amusing and terrifying to most (thinking) Americans.

Putin said it is impossible to sift through all of that information. It is “useless” to look at the analysis of spy agencies because it is the opinion of analysts and not facts and as such can be misleading

Am sensing a putin lie.

Well Vlad, now you know what he meant by having “more flexibility” after the election. Then, he had to endure some scrutiny; now he can do whatever he wants to.

Putin is and always has been a liar.

Why would anyone believe what this KGB operative says? Believe the opposite.

Hey, Putie, don’t envy him.

You may be an old-style KGB guy at heart, but you are a MANLY old-style KGB guy, unlike the stylized wimp in the White House.

Dear Mr. Putin :
Obama can do anything and get away with it.
He supplied guns to Mexican cartels. He sent guns to anti-Christian rebel Al Qaeda.
He took the sanctions off Iran
He is taking a 2 week vacation in Hawaii while the rest of us get screwed by Obamacare.
He homosexualized our Military.
He has killed more soldier in Afghanistan than ever got killed in Iran, and the media no longer keeps score like they did for Bush.

Now his suck butts Ryan and Murray are going to phuck over our retired soldiers retirement benefits. Right here at Christmas too.

Some among us are so desperate about their patriotism that they must say to themselves that Putin is worse than Obama. I don’t know that any country’s leader could be worse. Worse for their own country. Read Daniel Henninger in today’s WSJ.

Referring to the vast amounts of metadata gathered on citizens by the NSA, Putin said it is impossible to sift through all of that information. It is “useless” to look at the analysis of spy agencies because it is the opinion of analysts and not facts and as such can be misleading.

I don't know what Putin's game is now, but it is not "impossible to sift through all that information." There are Crays perfectly capable of compiling and analyzing that information. I think he's just needling the simpleton Obastard and driving a wedge between us and our erstwhile allies in Europe by reminding everyone of the US getting caught spying on their Chiefs of State. Because he can.

"I envy Obama because he can spy on his allies without any consequences"

Vlad can spy on whoever he wants.

And he probably does.

But if he gets caught, he'll have to face greater consequences than Obama did.

That's one reason why he won't get caught.
