It has happened before and frankly it needs to happen. There is no reason for us to spend more money on the military than the next eight largest countries combined. Is the military the first thing that should be cut? No. Is the military making the right cuts? Probably not. Are those in charge using this opportunity to mold the ranks to meet their new criteria? Most definitely.
