The theme of the float is: "Love is the best protection". The article says the last wedding on a Rose Parade float took place in 1989 and was the most widely viewed wedding in history.

Since the Rose Parade is allowing political agendas into the parade, I wonder if they will let me put in my float:

A giant AK-47 covered in flowers, with members of the NRA riding on it, dressed as bad guys in masks, and their inteneded victims. As the float moves along the route they will do re-enactments of criminals being stopped by armed citizens. The theme will be: "A gun is the Best Protection".

I'm sure the Rose Parade people will welcome my entry for the parade.(/s)

I think your scenario would be much improved if you used black AR-15s instead of AK-47s.

Black guns have much more impact on liberals...
