The Senate just voted to cut off debate on the Ryan–Murray budget deal, paving the way for its passage later this week. This vote was the key procedural hurdle the bill will face.

I don’t care if Ron Johnson fought the revolutionary war, he just voted for bigger government, providing increase spending, more taxes giving the liberal socialist exactly what they wanted, and end to the sequester, automatic spending cuts!

Ron Johnson and all his RINO ilk are done, stick a fork in them, no more compromise, no more surrender, no more voting for RINO Republicans PERIOD!

Stop all financial support for the RINO party!

Ron Johnson just proved that when his vote counts, he buckles like an old hoar!

Screw Ron Johnson, these people always tell us who they really are, and it certainly is not for less government and constitutional law!

He promised to repeal Obamacare. He voted to fund it instead. I’m not making excuses for this duplicitousness anymore. Bob

Ron Johnson was the leadership representative which signaled support. McConnell and Cornyn had to pretend to be against it (hope yes, vote no) because they’re up for reelection.

As I said in another thread now all the poseur RINOs who voted for cloture can ostentatiously cast their 'no' on the final vote and beat their chests about how they were against this terrible bill.

Not that close a vote, but closer than that one Senate CR vote that got only ~ 18 against it.

It seems for some it is more for making sure we lose the 2014 election, so we can continue to rant about things.

The amazing thing is that there are people here who act like there are really pure politicians out there, who always do what we want.

Hell, if we elected you to be a representative, I don’t even think YOU would end up always doing what YOU wanted, much less what WE wanted.

I know i don’t want the democrats doing whatever they please for the next year, much less the next three years.

And I know there are real “problems” in the GOP side, which keep us from being able to be 100% united behind any particular point. Which means that if the democrats stay united, we cannot get exactly what we want.

I know what I WISH we could get through congress. And I’m certainly not happy with what we ARE getting. But I guess I’m just not ready to kill everybody and let God sort it out. We can’t afford another rebuilding term. The country is in sad enough shape as it is.

So do I want 45 billion in more spending that is paid for only later? No. DO I think we can fix a 45 billion dollar problem with a republican senate? I don’t know, but I am certain that if the democrats win the senate in 2014, by 2016 we will look back fondly on the day we only had 45 billion more in spending.

This is how modern american politics works, on just about any issue:

Cutting down the tree of libery from both sides.

I've been happy with Cruz so far. However, I won't vote for any other incumbent. None. They are dead as far as I'm concerned, and I don't vote for dead men.

Johnson the TPINO. After listening to interviews with Johnson, it sounds just about right.

With all due respect Wayne, we have already passed the point of no
return. This country is divided, which means congress is NOT going to do
anything to fix our problems before it’s too late. And if they are unwilling
or incapable of fixing our problems, the only outcome left is a total collapse.

Nobody forced these USELESS politicians to vote to cut disabled vets pay. They made their beds and do not deserve any attaboys for another preemptive surrender trash bill.

It is funny that we mostly attack them for raising spending, but the one thing they actually cut, we attack them for that as well.

If we are ever going to cut government spending, we are going to actually have to cut things that people like.
