I am not familiar with the case law but seems to me were this to include washing things on your property, publicly, the ordinance would say exactly that i.e. no washing in public of your property or person.
One could make the case perhaps the area between the city street and your property over which there is an easement for utilities and such could be a quasi public place. That is a weak argument though.
To me, the ordinance is not supportable as too vague or beyond the scope of what can be regulated on your property.

That’s right...It’s not the government employees fault as they looked for other violations...
Would you work for a corrupt business, who routinely invaded the privacy and private property of others?
Are they forced to work for controlling corrupt government?

I had a cop try to give me a ticket for turning left on red. He had to call in to verify that if a one way turns on to another one way that you treat itt like a right turn on red. Stop and yield.

Actually the cop didn’t seem like a bad guy to me.

Seems to me this officer was being really nice and would much rather not have to do this garbage. Neighbor calls police, Lt. directs cop. Hes mostly laughing at the situation. He knows its BS, but has to answer call. I got kind of the same impression. I thought the officer was polite. These are dumb laws but police are obligated to respond. Some communities where I live don't even allow the parking of commercial vehicles such as vans and pick up trucks on public streets in residential areas or even in driveways or yards on private property where they are visible from the street. Where I live you can't park an unregistered or improperly registered vehicle on your own property if it's visible from the street. I don't agree with it but it is the laws that need to be changed instead of faulting the cops but obviously it's the people in these communities that choose to enact these stupid laws. These kids had a little bit of an attitude also. The car also had improper plates on it. I wouldn't be surprised if they were driving the car on the street.

Option one- to many people were holding car washes for charity that annoyed some petty office holder.
Option two- Some petty office holder OWNS the local car wash chain
Option three - both of the above.

Hey, when you choose to work for corrupt controlling government, you should expect to be directed to pry into the private property and private lives of law abiding citizens.
No?

That’s New York. No surprise that the liberals hate private property and are doing everything they can to destroy it.
Every year they make more and more laws to prevent people from using their private property they way they want it. The end goal is complete confiscation of private property.

"Are they forced to work for controlling corrupt government?"I would rather a good man work for a corrupt system than have them all quit and be replaced by those who believe in the system as it is.
