And the Republicans are funding the destruction of our private, employer-sponsored health plans.
They are accomplices in this murder.
I’m looking at thirty-three dollars a week for a decent plan at work right now, but no telling what’s going to happen when the edict on employers kicks in next year.
It took Obamacare and prolly my postings asking where is the video, to resurrect the video(s) of the Chicago Senior Citizens darn near doing the Mosh Pit on the the hood of that Crook Congressman Rostenknowski's Car...

The question begs, will history repeat itself...
That sounds pretty typical. If anything, the deductibles aren't as bad as others I have heard.
In any case, that translates to an added yearly cost of from $6,000-$9000 depending on how much medical care he uses. That's like another mortgage or fancy car payment, no?... except you aren't building equity in anything except Obama voters.
I guess he's not one of those legions of lucky people who are saving an "average" of $2500 on his health care, is he? We haven't heard much from those people yet, but I'm sure they are out there, right?
So many people are so close to bankruptcy that an unforeseen bill of several thousand dollars will put them under.
Coincidentally today a person who has four young children, was telling me his wife is upset because she is out of money for Christmas.
He told me he had saved $2,000. He wanted to keep it in case he had less income for a short period of time and could make mortgage payments with it.
A high deductible medical bill could sink his ship. - Tom
Right there is what is missing from the discussion of this entire fiasco.
Tight budgets from this rotten economy are already stretched thin. Add another big "car payment" (no car) and when a once previously affordable and financially survivable medical problem now hits along with the high deductibles, the result will send entire families to the bottom of the financial river. The middle class is being gutted but many of them don't see it yet. However, they soon will when they see the details of their new "Affordable Healthcare Act". It's anything but "affordable"!
Invest in companies that manufacture strong ropes and easily accessed lampposts. They are on the cusp of boom times...
I was informed by a local dentist this afternoon that every California Dentist, who were covered by a good plan, had their coverage cancelled.
The dentist informed me of this and said over 5,000 California Dentists lost their plan.
I asked him how many people were impacted. He said that the cancelled policies not only impacted the dentists and their family members. The policies for their staff were cancelled for 2014. He estimated in California, alone, between 20,000 to 50,000 people lost their coverage with this one action.
He found a new policy for his family at about triple the yearly costs and yearly deductibles in the $5500 per person.
He said that this was waking up the liberal and independent Dentists.
I think it is going to take more than that. Between a complicit GOPe and Democrat control of the vote counting and judges in too many jurisdictions, I don't think the ballot box is going to save the US in 2014, and by 2016 Obama will have laid waste to the country.
Barry Benghazi already has absolute ZERO credibility ... and his signature 0bamacare has been degrading my employer-based medical insurance for two or three years.
You’ll get no apology. But in the comfort of your own mind, while you affect a respectful deference, eat a large piece of Schadenfreude pie. My own insurance has turned pretty scary. Shouldn’t we have some pleasure in all this bitterness?
I can’t believe the public at large is allowing this.
They will allow anything the Emperor does. They may be angry for a short time, but a year from now they will have forgotten about it. Thats why I don’t think this will affect the elections. Short memories,,,and Bozo has the media on his side.
otoh, the Republicans did sabotage everything by not fighting this and giving in to odumbi in the shutdown showdown.
The GOP is dead, Long Live the Next American Party.
Auto insurance rates will likely also go up because part of the cost covers treatment for injuries.
Good point.
You likely won’t get one as they force you into 0bamacare exchanges.
Thanks, Mr Obama! - GDNMF
This is the crux. Vote out every dem that voted for this. This was why the nuts and bolts were not discussed. It was all a lie.
“.................Americans already know that ObamaCare means higher premiums and a shrinking roster of doctors. But they have not yet realized that ObamaCare plans are not portable and will impede their ability to travel.
What happens to those plans to send the kids to live with the grandparents for the summer, when little Josh needs to keep up with his allergy shots? What decision will a family make when Dad needs to move to start his new job, while the kids stay behind to finish up the school year? What kind of financial pain will be inflicted on American contract workers, who rent a hotel residence for three months while they complete a project? And who will buy a vacation home when the costs include out-of-pocket medical expenses?
Moreover, ObamaCare may soon start impacting access to emergency room care. With Americans no longer able to receive routine medical services when they travel, will they start showing up in emergency rooms for sore throats and backaches? And how will these new throngs of patients affect the waiting time of people with genuine medical emergencies?
“I have 35 years in the industry, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” the New York insurance broker told me. “ObamaCare is a rolling disaster. Every time we go down the road, we get hit with another catastrophe.”

“Lefties are trying to make the insurance companies and the employers the scapegoats so their precious Marxist healthcare system isnt blamed.

You’re so right Mr. B. They are creating another “crisis”. They’ll force insurance companies to drive their prices up so high that a majority of voters will scream for a government single-payer system as we have in Canada. Straight out of the Alinsky playbook. Create an artificial crisis and sell the cure at an alleged “no cost to you”.
