I've told people for years I've seen this effect, both in the military and then as a school teacher. Usually their response has been pretty hostile, that I was stuck in another time with different values.
The symptoms listed in the article coincide with recently reported US youth scoring poorly in math skills which are usually developed in the mid-teen years. It isn't a coincidence.
I bring this out in my Psych classes, also the growing connection between pot use on the still developing teen brain (and other legal drugs) and the later development of mental illness especially schizophrenia.
Not much debate about it in my AP Psych class but in general psych there is always at least 1 defender of pot.
