I guess those who drink and drive have a problem with this. I don’t drink liquor of any sort and have never been pulled over as suspect. Wonder why that is? Those who do drink and drive usually hurt others. Most times never themselves. I vote for stopping all with liquor on their breath.

All well and good, but as someone is driving, and a cop is driving behind him or her, how is the cop supposed to know whether or not the driver has liquor on their breath? ESP?

I vote THE STATE ban sales of alcoholic beverages on weekends and holidays.

Besides, if they believe there is such a huge problem with drinking and driving, how bout cutting it off at the source?

But....they won't. Why? Because the state would never cutoff this revenue stream.

The State enjoys the tax/fee/permit dollars generated from the sale of alcohol during such festive times.

Drinking a beer while driving is not the same as some dumb ass attempting to drive while snookered to the hilt.

Also, if someone runs down the road and realizes...man, I've had a little too much to drink.

I'd better pull over into a parking lot and sleep it off. Often times, lil boy blue comes along and arrests them for PUI for attempting to do the right thing.

Screwed up if you ask me.
