Let me add one more comment: Many of us on FR (the writer included) tend to get caught up in issues of truth and fact. Because we value truth we focus on truth.

The Democrats and their mainstream media focus on "perspective" and what they call the "narrative". They blow by the facts and truth and work to create a story favorable to their side. They focus on the big picture while we get caught up in the details.

Sadly, most people vote based on the general perspective the Democrat/Media presents. They don't and won't take the time to understand the issues and the details. The average voter is too lazy to dig through the details to understand what is at stake. They vote based on the "narrative" and we lose.

By the way, this is why Democrats hate Limbaugh and Drudge (among others). Limbaugh presents a "narrative" from the conservative side. Drudge provides perspective by the way he aggregates news articles on his website. Drudge's "flashbacks" are very effective in showing the hypocrisy of the leftist media.

A false “big picture” always crumbles.

Interesting take - thanks. Interesting to me b/c it does help explain/clarify how the issue of choice [one of my foci] affects politics. Libs do not include the choices that individuals make in their policy but conservs do.

Indeed i assert that some people do not even want choices - just be told. The world is full of people less capable than us. Don’t elect them lol
