The separator that removes fuel and oil from the water so it can be recycled failed. They were trying to be environmentally friendly and recycle water they use for training and prevent oil/gas from getting in the watershed.
Sounds exciting and looks impressive, but not that big of a deal IMO. Glad nobody was seriously hurt and I am sure they will double check their water - something your local fire truck probably won’t have to worry about.
Misleading headline. Why not say “accident at firefighting school injures two” until the real cause can be determined? Because that doesn’t make “good” news.
I’m not buying the story as reported or the BS about separators being used.
