I tried to warn scientists. I told them they are too arrogant. Too quick to say “I’ve got the answer!”

They should stand in awe of the wonders of the natural world, and realize that they don’t have the final answers

If they spent all their time doing that we'd never have any answers.

Science is method, not a body of knowledge; scientists sometimes get caught up in their private concerns (like, the paper at the basis of one’s entire career just got shredded by some up-and-coming), but scientists are well aware that knowledge is never complete.

This contrasts with true believers, for example, the skepticultists.

Science, as a discipline, has no mechanism where one can assert a ‘final answer’.
