Maryland's employers will simply do more background checks.
With the number of unemployed people to choose from if I am looking for a new employee:
I have the right to select the best person I can.
That includes eliminating those with a criminal background.
How would this politician like to hire a housekeeper—a nanny—or a tutor for his children without a background check into their criminal history?
I’ll bet that he has more assets to steal, more identity to steal, and more high priced items in his domain that I do. I don’t want a criminal on my property. I don’t want any employer put into this position. Eventually, the employee must deal with the customers...and who knows what could go wrong?
I smell a person who wants us all to ‘do as he says-—not as HE would do’.
