Santa is from Myra in Lycia, a Greek-speaking province of the Roman Empire, which makes him Greek. As I mentioned in another thread, he made the list of notable Greeks posted at the Mad Greek restaurant in Baker, Calif. The list ranges from Homer and Socrates to Elia Kazan.

Saint Nicholas was the inspiration for Santa Claus.

Saint Nicholas (15 March 270 – 6 December 343), also called Nikolaos of Myra, was a historic 4th-century Christian saint and Greek Bishop of Myra (Demre, part of modern-day Turkey) in Lycia.

Last I looked, Greeks were considered white.

I have seen a famous black TV preacher preach on this over 10 years ago and twisted this to favor the black people, yet ? he left out the part that David had red hair.
How about some modern day Jewish ancestors of the high priest Aron that had their DNA taken and their bloodline could be traced all the way back to Aron ?

Moses definitely had a dark skinned wife, as did Solomon so there is some possibility of dark skinned Israelites, but these days there is much more intermarriage.

I don’t think the Bible, at least the King James version actually says that King David had red hair. It does say he had a ruddy complexion which would go with red hair.

I have asked several Jewish friends if David had red hair and they all said yes or that was the traditional view.

You have some eastern Europeans when in the sun for a long time have a dark completion but certainly are not black.
Same thing with some Asian people.
How about Persians ? they are certainly not African.

That is so interesting. Being a redhead, myself, I find it interesting to see redheadded Jews (especially boys). Mine is derived from Scotch/Irish blood. I have often wondered about the twelve tribes and the different facial differences there may have been (including hair texture, color, eye color, etc) and the traits handed down from generations. Guess I find it fascinating because I come from a family of artists.

I think redheads are something like 2% of the world’s population.
