So we are to screw up royally, take no action to correct our mistakes and wait for God to fix it all for us?

I see nothing prideful in working to return to a constitutional governance. In fact it is rather humble to admit that we must live under laws. Laws being things designed to rein in chaos and excess.
Thus it is quite Biblical.

No..we act in faith, knowing that our ultimate help comes from God the father! God won’t necessarily help someone who helps himself if the goal of that individual is simply to “help himself”!

We fail when we forget God. These nations are after all “drops in a bucket” and God is always raising them up and pulling them down. God may often help in a collective fashion but each individual’s salvation is his or her own, purchased by the blood of Christ!
Christians are to pray for their temporal government and leaders...but we must never forget where are “true nation” is located!
