In my opinion Ms. Barra has paid enough dues at the company, that we should take her leadership seriously.
Welcome. The government is now out of the auto industry.
Buy American.
I still don’t buy Chrysler because of the first Lee Iacocca bail out.
Now they are on the frequent filer program. I only know one way to signal my disapproval of the corrupt unions, the inane management, and the government bailout.
From TFA:
“Barra, who previously ran GM’s HR department, began her career with company as a General Motors co-op student at the Pontiac Motor Division after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.”
A CEO who used to run the HR department.... riiiight.
If you’ve worked in corporate America, you’ve had run-ins with the HR department and the women who run them. If she’s anything like all the women I’ve run into who ran HR departments, GM’s fate is now sealed.
Hey, at least on the bright side, the price of the GM common is high enough to make some money on the short side when it goes down.
Buy American.... buy a Toyota.
GM has still not paid back the taxpayers the remaining $9 billion it borrowed. As far as buying American, I will continue to boycott Government Motors. I own a Ford Shelby GT500 because no foreign car company builds muscle cars. However, I also own an Infiniti FX35 because it is far superior to its American couterparts.
Not GM or Crysler.
