I’m sure an exemption will be forthcoming. But the more the chop this thing up and shoot it full of holes, exemptions, delays, and special treatment - how many other groups will be looking for similar deals? It seems ripe for a whole slew of Equal Protection lawsuits.

One of the reasons there are no legislative “fixes” being sent through Congress at this time, is if the law is opened up now for corrective action, it may very well simply be repealed altogether, or gutted and rewritten to eliminate most if not all the objectionable passages.

And neither Harry Reid nor the Current Occupant now squatting in the Oval Orifice will stand for such “meddling” in what is “settled law”. Nancy Pelosi is, for the moment, a total ineffectual.

The Republicans have their hands tied. So long as The Won remains adamant, nothing will be done to avert the dire consequences that are now spilling out all over the landscape.

This is a bigger legislative nightmare than the enforcement of Prohibition between 1919 and 1933. And it shall result in a bigger percentage of scofflaws than even that travesty of a law.
