When former Air Force Academy cadet Eric Thomas faced a disciplinary board in August 2012, a special agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations said he would come to explain how Thomas worked dozens of cases as a confidential informant and had been of great service to the Air Force.
The agent never showed up, and Thomas was expelled from the academy eight months later.
On Friday, an active-duty member of the Air Force Academy with direct knowledge of the case said the agent, Brandon Enos, did not show up because he was told not to by the local OSI commander, Lt. Col. Vasaga Tilo.

Welcome to the military run by Barack Obama.
ahh the good ole OSI
I remember those guys. James Bond wanna be’s
Used to follow people in my office all the time
Not just the academy, the entire Air Force. They've become a direct arm of 0bama's leftist machine.
It’s the way Odungo wants it, mistrust what America holds dear........
This clown doctor has his brown shirts working EVERY angle.
I laugh at shows like NCIS....from what I heard the most they ever do is look into stolen stuff and the occasional assault.
Not sure a spy would make a good officer anyway.
Certainly the Air Force wanted to clean up problems in the Cadet Corps, but putting pimp in among them would not make that pimp a good officer.
What happens when the word got out about this informant and he had to deal with those officers in his every day duties. Nobody likes an informant, no matter how special his duties were.
In the Army, a fellow Lieutenant had been an informer in the past. He was enlisted, and worked his way into a group that dealt drugs (I never understood this, since we were subject to random drug testing).
When I knew him, he had re-invented himself, having gone to OCS and becoming an officer...he was my XO. He was arrogant, lazy, incompetent, was incapable of interacting with his peers or subordinates...terrible officer.
The AFA has gone totally off track in so many ways. Anyone graduating there should be suspect with the massive amount of political correctness they have to endure to get to that point.
They used to bug our phones, search our barracks rooms, and follow us around town. One time they were following me in a white blazer with heavy tinted windows. They were so blatant about it that even I noticed. So I drove around town for about an hour with them 3 car lengths behind me. I took them to the base lake and led them into a dead end. They finally stopped following me after I waved.
Other then that they spent a lot of time watching a few girls which were sleeping together.
They wanted a guy who would operate as a snitch in the Academy. They DID NOT want somebody who demonstrated his willingness to operate as a snitch to enter the officer corps, where he might eventually snitch on senior-level officers.
Excellent point.
Perhaps the problems are not with the AFA. It is just as likely that the AFA isn’t meeting the obummer mandates and is being destroyed in the court of public opinion- an alinski tactic.
I saw a movie where these cops were following some guy so he filled up a gas can and drove for hrs without stopping...drove them out into the country when finally he pulled out the gas can, refilled his tank and drove on...the cops ran out of gas and was stranded.
Mind you I do not condone rape or drug use in our military academies, but having a spy in among honorable men is not the answer.
I actually very surprised about all these rape and drug allegations in the military. I never even got a whiff of this, when I was in the Army. Maybe things have changed since I got out (1997).
Our biggest problem was guys getting DUI’s. We were an all male unit, so not many rapes (one accusation of male on male)...but word travels fast on post, and I never heard anything about male on female rape.
And two of my guys came up hot for marijuana on a piss test...and that was a very big deal. I didn’t sense that drug use was widely prevalent at all.
And I went to West Point (the Army’s academy). I could not fathom either rape or drug use there. It just doesn’t compute.
Indeed. . .just trying to catch up with the Navy after tail-hook and Pat Schroeder.
When you think NCIS, think Clayton Lonetree, the USS Iowa, and thousands of gay ex-sailors.
What the navy csi scum did to the reputation of that poor Clayton Hartwig kid is despicable beyond belief.
