If one must bake something, nutraloaf. It would be a very fitting cake to the situation.

(I still maintain that the better situation would be to not bake anything at all - the above would just be an option to provide a fitting cake)

And risk jail time? I’d make the cake, but tell the gays that I’d donate at least half of the fee to the FRC, or buy a lot of Chick fil A sandwiches.

Liberty, was left to die.

We are indeed, a nation gone under.

Being under God never, ever was the responsibility of Caesar.

It pains me to bring this obvious thing to light.

We had a system where we could be under God and then control Caesar. The envy of the world.

And we went for the bread and the circuses and went la-di-dah about the levers, only one (not not even the most influential) of which is the general election.

When stuff like that happens, it gives you little choice but to sell the business or just close it up and move.

I am surprised they have not done so already...

I’ve wondered about 1st Amendment rights. He might be “forced” to furnish a blank cake, but he still can’t be made to write anything that is an abomination upon it. At least if the 1st Amendment means something.

Ultimately if Caesar fails to keep even his own promises, then rebellion is needed. What form the rebellion should take, is a matter of God’s guidance. God can be quite creative. (What would you expect out of the Creator?) Not necessarily every frontal attack we might envision is the way; sometimes it is a sort of spiritual jiu-jitsu (to borrow a term), working “with” your opponent to get his attack thwarted.

I think that playing around with the intent of the judges order would be asking for a contempt charge...

These people have to live in that community or leave it behind in their wake...When the judicial system gets involved in a private business's ability to decline to service anyone for any reason short of race or creed as that has been enshrined in out constitution, the freedom compact or unwritten understanding of what freedom is or should be, has been damaged irreparably. (The best evidence is the hate crime laws passed by congress)

The US, as a collection of states, and individual local governments has plenty of other opportunities. If they want to fight this legally it will cost a great deal of money and they may be able to win, but at what cost..

They can either surrender or leave...

As to the fix for this, there is but one...

The rotten planks have to be removed by force, using tools of the trade and then replaced with new ones..

That is the fix..it is costly but it's the only fix there is..anything short of that is a not a fix...Its a compromise. And I don't think that God has a opinion on the methods employed..at least he sure has not had one in the past 2000 years. I'm guessing he just judges the results at the proper time and place. But what do I know...? What I do know is that we do what we have to do, if it is deemed important. That is the question. Do enough of us think it is important enough to destroy the rotten foundations of this country in order to fix it? I know what I would do...It's a easy decision for me..

To dissolve the business and create a new one, perhaps with better defined customer terms would then create a new situation. As just one possibility. You can’t tremble so before tyrants that you limit your options.

The rotten planks have to be removed by force, using tools of the trade and then replaced with new ones..

This is not the godly paradigm though quite acknowledged it is the worldly one. The godly paradigm is to supply what is spiritually lacking in a situation. Perhaps even wobbly enemies may be made to cease their opposition, as well as friends strengthened. And the stubborn opposition will be isolated and robbed of support and made to fall by the wayside.

Sure...In general, your statement about trembling is true...but this little christian company does not have the resources to fight a state government.

What will occur is obvious. If they do not comply fully, they will be cited by the administrative judge as not being in compliance with a state statute. This ruling was only a formality. The next step in the process is the ruling that the little christian company is in default and has not complied which makes them liable for a variety of monetary fines and or revocation of their business licenses. If they don't pay the fines and comply, the state will seize their assets to pay the fine and they will be effectively silenced and shut down.

There is no point in it unless they want to be a martyr.. So what would you have them do?..Hire a private army of lawyers to protect them, or just pick a different battle, perhaps one they can win.... This is not going to get better through legal means..the entire process has been contaminated. Better to pick your battles right now...withdraw if necessary and keep your powder dry... You will need it...

Well yes, sometimes fading back is needed, but to stop at fading back is foolish when a God of infinite resources can be called upon.

This is a spiritual battle, from start to finish.

And anyhow this is the sort of thing that ACLJ loves to get involved with. Don’t put a limit on how God can stand up, when He is being resolutely glorified.

Be wise. And by the way it is Christian, not christian. The honorific capital is earned by God, if by nobody else.

God may be strong..I don't know but I assume he is...but I do know that the churches are weak and getting weaker..They are not what they once were...They are wobbly knee’d and voiceless in many cases, preferring to put up a little vocal resistance and token support. Half the churches would be on the side of the State in this little skirmish. They would be supportive of the gay’s rights to buy a damn cake. Especially one from a Christian who resents it.

If you want to use limited resources against this, a unwinnable fight with a statute codified into law and interpreted by the state. The fight is far too late in coming..It's been lost already when the statute was passed into law.

The real fight is yet to come. assuming anyone has the balls to fight it, of which I have many doubts..

I miss the days when slavery was banned in America. Being compelled to work against your will and in violation of your religious beliefs is shockingly un-American, and I am disgusted with anyone who facilitates that evil agenda. Those filing the lawsuit, representing the bullies, and ruling in favor of slavery should be shunned, along with their families.
