Yup. We got to shovel about another 7 inches of globull warming off the driveway yesterday(thanks Mr. Snow plow driver for the HUGE pile of snow at the end of it) and right now it’s about 3 degrees out. Don’t think it’s hit bottom yet since the sun isn’t up for another 30 minutes.

I think that what has changed is us.

My grandparents must have had a very tough time of it. The only heat in the house was the stove in the kitchen. On cold winter mornings when the temps were below zero, some unlucky soul had to light the fire and get it going. And the animals had to be taken care of early those freezing cold mornings. This went on all Winter. And yet they didn’t complain.

Life was tough by today’s standards. Some would argue that it would be child abuse for my dad and my uncles. But “life was good.” They survived and adapted.

No, they had it tough. We are wimps in comparison.

What is different is that we have turned into a country of wimps!
