Team Obama Takes "Affordable" Out of Latest Obamacare Campaign
Town Hall ^ | 12/6/13 | Katie Pavlich

President Obama hit the campaign trail again this week in an effort to reboot support for Obamacare as the failed rollout continues with a broken website and broken promises.

Speaking from the White House Tuesday, Obama declared "Obamacare is working," and that we "aren't going back." But for Obamacare to truly be "working" for the American people as promised when the Affordable Care Act was passed, it must in fact be affordable. We've seen the opposite. Young people will pay double under the ACA, young women will see their health insurance premiums increase on average by 193 percent and five million Americans have lost their coverage only to find plans under Obamacare are more expensive for less care.

As the public relations campaign for a law that is unaffordable rolls on, Byron York has noticed something: the administration is no longer talking about Obamacare in terms of affordability.

One striking thing about the new White House Obamacare promotion campaign is that so far it hasn't had much to say about the central focus of Obamacare, which is helping Americans buy affordable health insurance.

You almost have to feel sorry for them - they can’t call it “Obamacare” because that will forever brand their hero as the namesake of this POS, and now they can’t call it “Affordable” either. And you’re right - “Care” is next to go.

What’s left - just the word “Act”? As in “A Colossal Turd” maybe.

Right. The Act.

He is so stuck with this thing. and it is a complete disaster.

So are they all.

Not Ted Cruz. Not Mike Lee.

Anyone who is surprised probably doesn’t manage their own household finances. It is so simple. There are no resources to manage it.

Forget having some crony, fraudulent web site creator at the post. There is not enough money in our country to pay the government to pay for everyone’s health care.

Period.

'Affordable' means different things to different people.

For me "affordable" means four times higher than what I'm paying now.

Change it to Carrousel. "Forward" er "Renew"...

Nope. Not even close.

In fact there is no level of humiliation they can achieve that would make me happy.

“Next, omit the word “Care”.”

GREAT POINT! It is NOT affordable, it does NOT provide care, it is just an ACT, an edict. A monstrous exercise of raw political power against the will of the citizenry. The majority of the citizenry did not want it when it was forced into law by Pelosi and Reid and Obama with bribes to even wavering Democrats; and fewer of the citizency want it now, that they know — some of — “what is in it”. The clear majority of the citizenry do not want it, not now, not ever.

Let the 0 promote it, talk about it, “sell” it. This garbage won’t sell. Let him go into frantic campaign mode (the only thing of which he is capable). Yes! keep it in the news! Keep the Dem talking points and events on it!

You can only sell a heaping pile of garbage to the few truly ignorant. More are catching on each day. Keep “selling” o!

Actually, the Stones had it right:

There isn’t enough money to pay for all the health care the country wants, but there is enough to pay for the amount the country needs.

Obummer has done his usual “doubling down” (”won’t be repealed while I’m in office”) when things don’t go his way and with the rotting stench that is emanating from OBAMAcare now (it’s ‘dead’, Jim), I’m wondering what he’s going to do when he “triples down”, because it’s coming.

So, who is going to do anything about it? Why continue to gripe if the steady march toward totalitarianism continues unabated?

What comes around goes around.

May Obama, the democrat party, and cowardly republicans reap what they've sown.

Ok.

But, actually, not really.

Obama took the sickest system he could get his claws into. It would have been something else, as this has nothing to do with anything but power and control.

Being parasitic, that is, uncaring and opportunistic, as opposed to statesmanlike, for which is silly followers give him much credit and adulation, he went after a sick system, whatever his destructive end game might be.

Our ‘health care’ system started faltering when third party payer moved in. The costs were driven up.

Research and development of innovation in pharmaceuticals and machinery, went way above what anyone could afford, and keeps people alive, but not with a focus on quality of life that could have been being researched and developed at a much lower cost, but much lower compensation to providers and industry entities.

While Medicare and Medicaid moved in. Most treated this like free money, free medical care. and it got into financial trouble, huge trouble, in a scant twenty years. By the early eighties, cutbacks to patients, all patients, became rigorous, while only slowing down the careening toward financial ruin of Medicare.

Costs increased. And now we have a mess BO is likely too intellectually deficient to have come up with something better than this; at least to do his destruction and takeover while continuing to fool people.

And his narcissism is likely the push it over the cliff factor in his not listening to one, incompetent as they are, aid in coming up with something that would at least keep them off the cover of Newsweek magazine.

But they are in trouble.

the pharmaceutical industry is lobbying hard, most likely, for servant class workers, that is, illegal immigrants granted amnesty.

But all one has to do is glance around at the local mall at Christmastime, to determine whether all of our medical care is actually making our country a place of healthy people.

It is not.

BO is likely t
