Nancy Lanza took her killer son Adam shooting from the age of just four, may have lied on federal paperwork to buy him guns and went on long holidays alone without the boy she branded a 'lost cause', a new book reveals today.
It lays out the strongest case yet against the mother of the Sandy Hook shooter - just days after parents of the victims said her 'bad parenting' was partly to blame.
Nancy knew as far back as 2000 that there was ‘something very wrong’ with the boy and effectively abandoned her disturbed son last year while she went on trips by herself.
Meanwhile, Adam Lanza was left alone in the house they shared where he spent his days playing violent video games and filling in a 7ft by 4ft spreadsheet ranking the worst mass murders of all time by number of fatalities.
Just three days before his rampage - the second worst in U.S. history - she checked into a four-star hotel for two nights and paid $450 for a luxury spa package that included a 50-minute facial and a 50-minute body treatment.
The book, written by a journalist who spent a year living in the community investigating the outrage, also reveals that Adam, 20, may have originally intended to target Newtown High School in Connecticut instead of Sandy Hook Elementary.
The attack was only foiled when Adam saw some police cars by the school, which he only left when his mother pulled him out.

I clicked on the article, saw a woman’s photo, assumed it was Nancy Lanza and thought “Wow. She’s kinda hot! but she turned out to be the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Ed’s squeeze. (William? I can’t keep them straight.)
if anyone out there has any "different" children, you know that society gives very little support....and often the state will offer little help...
The whole story sounds like clap trap to me.

No way a kid of mine would live with me and only allow e-mail contact. She should have placed him an institution, but was probably in denial about the extent of his mental problems.
How could they possibly know there was only email contact for 3 months?

boy,people are so naive....you can not force a mentally ill person to do anything....
what did they expect her to do?....could she have forced him into her car, and driven him to a hospital?....there they might have kept him long enough for a psych eval or the "mental health professionals" to talk with him, and then they would have released him, period, just like that.....
Yeah, my folks go on trips by themselves too. Grr.
An aftermarket outfit, (I don’t remember whom), used to make a chrome molly liner/aluminum shell type barrel for the 10/22. That is the only aluminum weight saving type thing I can think of for the 10/22. Might be others I suppose. I will see if I can find it just for the heck of it.

Why would Nancy Lanza lie on federal 4473 forms to straw purchase guns for her kid and then write the boy a check for a CZ 82 when the kid was to young to buy a gun on his own?
The whole article stinks.
The police probably examined the mom’s computer or they got info from their ISP.
While I’m pro-2nd-Amendment, I don’t know that much about guns themselves. I guess those don’t exist?
Well that would reveal emails but how does that prove they never spoke in person for 3 months?
Ruger manufactured no such thing.
