President Obama joined lawmakers and former heads of state Thursday in mourning the death of Nelson Mandela, calling him one of the "most influential, courageous and profoundly good" people to have ever lived.
"He achieved more than could be expected of any man," an emotional Obama said, in remarks from the White House, adding: "He belongs to the ages.

Won’t deny that SA was a bad place, but Mandela didn’t make it much better if any.
He couldn’t go to Mrs. Thatchers funeral, but I bet he makes this one.
He calls a killer and terrorist a good man. Mandela did a lot for Africa , he turned a successful nation into a famine area.
