Seriously, if I have to explain to you why a string of encoded bits is less valuable that a physical good you can hold in your hand, then it’s not worth having the conversation with you.

Potting soil - that’s right DIRT - is intrinsically more valuable than Bitcoins. They are a sad joke being perpetuated by anarchists. The 60’s crowd and Bill Ayers probably think they are the best thing since sliced bread.

Value is based on supply and demand. Dirt’s not selling for more than bitcoin right now.

If you’re stuck on a desert island by yourself and need to survive, gold is worth no more to you than bitcoin or dollars. But all of them can have value on the open market based on supply and demand.
